Review:
"The 100" TV series is adapted from Kass Morgan's namesake trilogy, though it differs a lot from the events and charachters of the books, particularly in season two.
The story is settled in a post-apocalyptic future, where human offspring (escaped from a nuclear disaster) lives inside the "Arc", a huge space station.
Inside the Arc are appplied very strict rules to pursue survival. The punishment for any infringement is death, except that for kids under 18 who are imprisoned.
The protagonist of the story is Clarke Griffin (Eliza Taylor-Cotter) daughter of the doctor and counselor Abigail Walters (Paige Turco) and of the deceased chief engineer Jake Griffin (Chris Browning).
Clarke and 99 prisoners are chosen to test Earth livability.
With Clarke there are: Bellamy Blake (Bobby Morley), Finn Collins (Thomas McDonnel), Wells Jaha (Eli Goree), Octavia Blake (Marie Avgeropoulos) and many other kids.
These misterious Hundred will have to face thousands of troubles on the wild and unexpectedly inhabited Earth.
The director Jason Rothenberg has done a beautyful job with the actors, the scenography and the soundtrack.
The items the charachters use are well contextualized (I particularly appriciated the reusable indefinitely sheets), but the Hundred's costumes (contrarily to the grounders's ones) are unreal.
Leather jacket and dark clothes?
Rather inadequate, considering that on the Arc creating such strong dyeing is a waste.
But apart from this little sour note (which is needed to make the kids look more badass) there isn't much to complain.
The story is fulll of incredibles plot twists, for example SPOILER I loved the moment when Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) and Jaha (Isaiah Washington), have to kill each other in order to show grounders their will for peace, and the fragile girl, that should have been the witness, turns out to be the supreme commander (you can find the scene here) SPOILER.
The charachters are studied and depht almost flawlessly, no trait is taken for granted.
At first Bellamy (for example) is the j*rk of the situation but we can immediatly see his brotherly love for Octavia.
Comment:
Inside the story there aren't the "goood guys" and the "bad guys".
The absence of these two formations makes charachters almost real (except that they're strong, beautiful, and have always perfect styling).
The same Clarke SPOILER will carry out a mass murder SPOILER in order to keep her people alive.

Particularly you deal with command, both on Earth and on the Arc.
On Earth there is a comparison between Clarke and Bellamy.
On the Arc instead, Abby and Kane try to advice Thelonius.
Another thing to admire is the message Octavia's story, the girl imprisoned because was born (on the Arc having more than one child is not allowed).
In fact the incarceration of the girl shows that justice and morality are often uneven.
And finally, my favourite character is...
John Murphy (Richard Harmon) the bad guy of the story... he isn't actually my favourite character (since he's not the bad boy... ahemBellamyahem...) but he is definitely the one I liked the most on a technical level, both in the initial part of the d***k and in the one of the guy who has faith in a dream.
Anyway you must admit that it has a value.
The third season was announced for 2016... even if I'm afraid it won't be as beautiful as the previous ones.
